When I heard about the trip four years ago I always felt the call to go. But it didn’t come to fruition till this year where all fell into place and I could make the trip. Even then while planning the flights etc God’s hand was at work. I manage to get a flight and shorten my trip and travel time. I went with no anticipation of anything. But having done the walk up and down I now see God’s presence in my life daily. I thought I walk on my own. But that’s no longer true. God was with me daily in my walk.
Up the mountain and down the mountain. Without him by my side and the angels he sent along the way I could not have done it all. I learn that I must remember him in my life daily. I must bow down to him as He is mightier than us all. Only by humbling ourselves in his presence can we receive his goodness and grace. I walk with faith knowing that God will lead me where he wants to and he will take care of me. Mathew 11:28-30 always comes to my mind. Come to me all you who are weary. And I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me ,for I am gentle and humble in heart , and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Indeed I thank God for calling me up to the mountain for I learn to sense his presence in my life daily
